Green tea & blueberry pom tea cocktail (with a hint of lime!)

Green tea & blueberry pom tea cocktails

Johnson and Lindsey have been doing this thing called Sober-vember, where they try going about their month without alcohol. It's a nice way to bring some discipline into their lives and to save a few dollars for the holidays. In lieu of liquored up cocktails, they've been playing around with some simple and refreshing tea cocktails.

Serves

2-3 people

Ingredients/Supplies

  • 2 x green tea bags
  • 1L boiled water
  • 1 x spoonful of honey (we used a matcha honey from Beary Berry!)
  • 1 x can of blueberry pomegranate sparkling water
  • Lime, to taste
  • 1 x glass container to steep the tea and melt honey
  • 1 x glass container containing one tray's worth of ice cubes

Steps

  1. Using the 1L of boiled water, steep 2 x green tea bags in one of the glass containers for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags.
  3. Melt the spoonful of honey in the tea.
  4. Transfer the tea-honey blend into the second glass container. (You're pouring over ice to help it chill down.)
  5. Stir the ice cubes around to help the tea-honey blend cool down.
  6. In two separate glasses, pour the tea-honey blend halfway.
  7. Open a can of blueberry pomegranate sparkling water and fill the glasses the rest of the way.
  8. Spritz with a bit of lime (or a lot, if you're into it.)
  9. Sip through a straw of your choice ;) Pictured above are the copper and silver bent straws.
